Bozeman Hot Springs is a staple in the local community and the culture of Bozeman, and the 45 Architecture team was excited to be given the opportunity to revitalize and master plan this iconic facility. The scope of the project was to master plan the entire 40 acre property into a multi-phased construction endeavor that created a health and wellness resort with a 162 room hotel. The campus currently has an RV resort, outdoor pools, with an accompanying building which houses indoor pools, guest amenities, and a fitness center. All of these amenities were to remain operational during construction, so we took great consideration into the designs to allow for a seamless phased construction and demolition process. The primary focus of the proposal was to create a fitness and wellness center for public and member use. The new 30,000 square foot wellness center would house various levels of fitness and cardio equipment, locker rooms, daycare, salon, classroom studios, and a world class spa. The wellness would be centered around the existing exterior pools, while enhancing the exterior amenities with additional pools, lazy river, cabanas, stage with lawn, and cove pool grotto. The exterior upgrades would flow into new indoor pool facilities with various hot and cold pools, steam rooms, saunas, lap pool, splash pad, cafes, cabanas and communal lounge spaces. A high end hotel experience would tie into all of the wellness upgrades, making this project a full blown resort that would serve the local community and become a destination hub for tourists. Hotel amenities that would have a symbiotic relationship with the wellness center include a restaurant and bar, conference center, kitchens, and guest services with laundry.
