At 45 Architecture & Interiors, we are drawn to projects that hold meaning beyond the built form. Howlers Ridge embodies this ehtos, offering a place for reflection, healing, and reconnection with the natural world.

In response to the pace of modern life, which can separate people from themselves and their environment, this project is designed to create moments of stillness and balance. The architecture is inspired by the surrounding landscape, and emphasizes well-being on every level: physical, emotional, and spiritual.

Grounded in evidence-informed research that demonstrates how time in nature improves health, lifts mood, reduces stress, and builds connection, Howlers Ridge is envisioned as a space where people can slow down, breathe deeply, and feel restored. It will offer intentionally-designed programs that incorporate leading methodologies in nature-based healing, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, somatic therapy, and other healing practices to foster resilience, personal growth, and recovery for those navigating trauma, grief, and life’s hardest moments, including:

• Veterans
• People in recovery from substance use disorders
• Survivors of trauma, sexual assault, or domestic violence
• Individuals grappling with loss, grief, or other challenges
• Nonprofit practitioners who are experiencing burnout or the effects of vicarious trauma

45 Architecture & Interiors is honored to contribute to a project that reflects our belief that architecture can nurture both people and place.
