The Radish House draws inspiration from agrarian architecture, using simple, gabled forms that nestle seamlessly into the site’s natural contours. Designed around a steep grade, the home steps down naturally to create a walk-out basement, minimizing disruption to the landscape while maximizing livable space. Oriented to capture views of the Crazy Mountains and a nearby creek, the home is grounded in its surroundings. Natural materials help it blend in, especially at the garage, where thoughtful detailing keeps it from standing out. On a challenging site, the approach was one of simplicity and respect for the landscape—resulting in a home that feels quiet, grounded, and completely at home in its setting.
