Rebirth of a Field
Lambert Field Improvements involved creating a multi-purpose sports and recreation field, accompanied by a support facility and spectator venue. The field is sized for multiple NCAA regulation sports to use the facility year round. MSU recreational teams and club teams including rugby, lacrosse, and soccer, with other uses by university marching band and flag football will primarily use the facility, while also being open for use by the general student population. The support facility houses team changing rooms, public restrooms, training and first aid, officials changing room, sports storage, and maintenance storage. The facility also has a large exterior canopy area that will be used for large gatherings, while also providing shade and shelter to students and spectators. This facility will act as a hub for all of the recreational fields, providing amenities to many sports fields.
