About the Role

We are seeking an experienced architectural professional for the position of Marketing Manager & Business Development. The Manager is responsible for developing new business opportunities both proactively and in response to RFPs. The Manager works closely with the Principals to support the continued success of the studio in Montana and Tennessee markets, both public and private sectors, and across a range of building typologies.

The Marketing Manager must be proactive, well-organized, detail-oriented, and a strategic thinker. In addition, the Manager must understand and communicate the spirit of the 45 Architecture and Interiors practice.

Develop creative, deadline-driven deliverables, often with a quick turnaround.
Think strategically to tailor materials to address RFQ and RFP requirements.
Coordinate go/no go analysis
Draft effective, targeted writing, and graphics
Collaborate effectively with supervisor and other stakeholders in-person, via phone, and video.
Coordinate the preparation of and revisions to staff CVs, project profiles, firm website content (Wix) and other firm collateral.
Prepare slide decks for client and conference presentations
Maintain and update CRM (CMAP), including contacts, opportunity/lead tracking, and project database.
Coordinate with outside vendors for architectural, staff photography, and other materials.
Handle incoming media requests and work with magazine editors
Strategize project placement and pro-actively pitch for publications
Develop bi-weekly Social Media posts (LinkedIn and Instagram)
Coordinate in house and out of house events
Coordinate and track awards submissions
Embrace additional related tasks and responsibilities as required.
Experience in the A/E/C industry will be given high priority.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Visual Arts, Communications, or other related discipline.

  • 3-5 years prior office experience, including responding to RFQs and RFPs.

  • Attention to detail with a penchant for clarity and accuracy.

  • Confidence in written and visual communication, with a passion for design excellence and strong graphic sense.

  • Ability to work calmly to meet deadlines, often on short notice.

  • Ability to parse through requests and prioritize challenging deadlines.

  • Friendly, flexible and energetic, with a sense of humor.

  • Awareness of and ability to connect with all levels of the organization

  • Openness to varying communication styles and responsive to feedback.

  • Ability to streamline organization of documents, resources, and data.

  • Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite (emphasis on InDesign), Microsoft Office, and Photoshop.

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
